Isis
Mother of Life
When life seems dry,
depleted, filled with repetitive tasks or
simply stagnant and stifled,
Isis, the Mother of Life,
holds the ability to revive
even the most numb, resistant
and difficult circumstances in your life.
She calls to you now,
seeking to bestow gifts
of life upon you.
Be bold and brave;
open your arms and receive.

The High Priestess
Isis,
moon goddess,
guardian of cosmic knowledge,
lingering in the temple of eternal change.
Visions born out of silence.
Mover of oceans and the red stream.
Black moon – white moon, deeply inhaling – exhaling, ebb and tide,
seeing without judging.
Mother of duality.
Sometimes creative,
she opens the heart.
Archetypes
The Desert
The Desert leaves us disorientated, desperate for direction, grasping for meaning, longing for solid ground.
For endless miles we are confronted with a lack of clarity and existential dread.
We are thirsty, hungry, pleading with life to get back to normal – to become animated by the simple pleasantries of day-to-day life. The Desert offers no such comfort, and all must pass through it.
If you can embrace the discomfort of the Desert knowing you will, someday, reach water again, you can tap into the potent energy of the landscape.
Its lights are blindingly bright and its darks terrifyingly deep, which makes for unbridled creativity and clairvoyant visions. Truths reside in the Desert that otherwise remain hidden.
The crows, the shadows, and the coyote’s call surround you. Let the winds and sands work their deep magic, weary traveller.
When light it is surreal, strange, unexpected visions, silence. When dark it is drying, deadening, disorienting, isolating.

4 – The Way of Understanding
This hexagram is called Rebellious Youth, and combines the trigrams Ken and K’an, mountain and water.
Humans are easily provoked. On the lowest level, we live in a world of judgement, comparison, good and bad, right and wrong. Most of us are governed by reasons, but a world without reasons seems to be an amoral world. And if there was no reason? As in life just chose it. We and others are hungry for answers. It’s our distrust in life, and out of reasons come blame, justification and guilt.
We don’t understand how the universe works because we’re still looking for reasons, when all we need to do is understand love. When we open our heart we see, feel and know the truth. We don’t need to prove or question it. Only our spirit can understand life. One day we’re going to stop needing to know and finally understand. Forgiveness seems to be in the emotional realm but really it is about understanding.
Forgiveness isn’t personal; it’s the realisation that nothing is personal. Understanding comes out of the process of utter self responsibility. When we start to self forgive and return non-love with love we will experience the power of our sovereignty embodied.
